Stokes Seeds
is pleased to announce that Jim Inksetter has joined Stokes
Seeds as Canadian Sales Manager.
Jim brings to Stokes over 18 years of experience in the
agriculture industry from Sales Management to Director of
various biotechnology fields at Monsanto Canada Inc. He has a
B.Sc (Honours) degree in Crop Sciences and Agri Business from
the University of Guelph.
While at Monsanto, Jim held the positions of Area Manager for
Eastern Canada and Manitoba, Business Manager for Corn and
Soybeans, Director of Biotechnology Stewardship and
Sustainability and most recently Director of Biotechnology
Traits for Canada. As well as a participating on numerous
committees and task forces with the Canadian Seed Trade
Association, Jim serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors
of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program.
Current Canadian Sales Manager, Raymond Maude has been
appointed to the position of Product Support and Development
Manager. In this new role, he will use his extensive
horticultural knowledge as a technical resource for the Sales
and Purchasing Departments, as well as manage the Stokes
research and trial grounds.
This March, Ray will be celebrating his 50th
Anniversary at Stokes. He started as a teen, working at the
Stokes Farm and has moved up through the company to his present
position of Canadian Sales Manager, which he has held for the
past 29 years.
Founded in 1881, Stokes is a principal seed supplier for
over 40,000 greenhouse growers and commercial truck farmers in
Canada and Northeastern U.S.A. Three regional catalogs, U.S.,
Canadian English and French versions are issued each year to
both commercial customers as well as home gardeners.
