Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of 21 new corn hybrids for the 2006 planting season.  Each of these varieties can be seen at research tours and field days through the Midwest this fall.  Descriptions of these new products follow:

75 Day Stealth-5475
A true 75-day flint/dent combination hybrid that flowers very early.  Vigorous plant growth and fast grain establishment.  Taller statured plant with semi-erect leaves.  Superior test weight.  Excellent adaptation to the extreme northern corn market.

84 Day Stealth-6184
An early hybrid that features a robust plant type.  Excellent plant integrity through the fall backed by outstanding roots and stalks enables this medium-tall hybrid to excel.  Adapts well to all environmental conditions and soil types.  Excellent drydown.  Excels at high plant populations.  High grain test weight.

85 Day Stealth-1785
An outstanding early hybrid that flourishes with strong, vigorous emergence.  Consistent, high yield performance and strong disease resistance.  Grain drydown is outstanding while test weight excels.  Take this variety to high plant population where it will deliver excellent performance on most soil types.

85 Day Stealth-7184
Robust plant type with excellent fall appearance.  Superb stalk and root system.  Aggressive, early growth gives these genetics a head start.  Thrives at high plant populations.  Outstanding test weight and superb drydown properties. 

88 Day Stealth-1488
From the “get-go” this hybrid accelerates out of the ground quickly and vigorously.  This strong early establishment provides a sound foundation for outstanding stalk and root strength as well as excellent disease resistance and staygreen.  Excellent yield potential on a wide variety of soil types.  Plant this hybrid at a high population.

89 Day Stealth-6189
A tall plant type that features a strong root base and stalk structure.  Very good grain quality and excellent test weight result from a plant with excellent late season intactness.  Delivers top yields across a number of soil environments.  Gets off to a quick, vigorous start, capable of taking advantage of high plant population densities.

94 Day Stealth-7194
New hybrid with top end yields and strong, vigorous emergence.  Capable of being planted anywhere on your farm and delivering impressive yields.  Girthy-ear tendency with desirable drydown and test weight.  Performs well as a corn on corn hybrid.  Likes high plant population.

94 Day Stealth-9194
Vigorous early plant development provides the momentum for a good root system which in turn creates a strong, sturdy stalk.  Excellent stay green and disease resistance.  High test weight.  Very versatile for all soils including corn on corn.  Capture its yield strength with high plant populations.

96 Day Stealth-7196
Excellent yield potential with strong emergence and vigor.  Drive this hybrid’s ability to bring top yield production to your farm by increasing your plant population.  Nice soil versatility.

101/99 Day Stealth-5201
Terrific grain yield potential develops from a medium-tall plant with moderately upright leaves.  Very strong roots along with terrific staygreen capability.  A girthy-eared, high yielding hybrid corn variety.  Versatile in numerous soil types.  Excellent drydown and strong test weights.

101 Day/99 Day Stealth-7201
Great cold emergence and vigor qualities.  Attractive, moderately upright leaf structure provides a desirable pathway for sunlight.  Plant staygreen is terrific and drydown properties are superb.  Strong test weight.  Very suitable to all geographic regions including the Western Corn Belt.  Receptive to high plant population.

101/99 Day Stealth-9201
High yield potential!  Excellent staygreen characteristics.  Excels across a wide range of soil types and high plant populations.  Very suitable hybrid for all geographic regions including the Western Corn Belt.  Girthy ears, high test weight and desirable drydown.

104/102 Day Stealth-5204
A racehorse hybrid with superb yields that take advantage of high plant populations.  Quick to emerge after planting, vigorous in its early growth stages.  Strong root and stalk strength are the result of genetics with terrific plant health.  Staygreen is exceptional. 

104/102 Day Stealth-7104
A showy, girthy ear of grain develops from a plant with great root and stalk traits.  Excels under a wide range of soil types.  This plant has excellent staygreen.  Drydown is very good and strong test weights are common.  Benefit from high plant populations!

106 Day Silage HiD.F.-3007
Experience the high tonnage and excellent digestibility of this silage hybrid. With an overall silage rating of 1 this hybrid produces high silage yields. It rates at or near the top of the chart for milk/acre and milk/ton.  Performed extremely well in our mini-silo silage trials. High ratings for NDF and whole plant digestibility.

106/104 Day Stealth-1706
Exceptional root and stalk ratings, excellent staygreen and very favorable disease resistance.  This plant has a standard leaf configuration on a medium to short plant…its early flowering tendency produces an attractive, girthy ear of grain with a range of 16-20 kernel rows.  Delivers yield at high plant populations.

109/106  Day Stealth-9507
Aggressive early growth characteristics and strong disease resistance qualities enable this plant to maintain strong staygreen properties.  A healthy, continuously growing plant creates terrific yield potential for this hybrid.  Features high test weight with very good drydown.  Top yielder for its maturity.

110 Day Stealth-1612
A powerful high yield new product.  Excellent early plant development.  Great staygreen and disease resistance properties…exceptional root and stalk strength as well.  Utilize the high plant population capability of this hybrid to further enhance this hybrid’s yield expression.  Superb test weight.

110 Day Stealth-5010
Exceptional staygreen, disease resistance and great roots.  Semi-erect leaves transform the genetic energy of this new hybrid seed variety into a girthy, 16-20 kernel row ear of grain.  Very high rating for test weight.  Plant on most any soil type.  Excellent choice for high plant population.

113 Day Stealth-7014
This genetic package can achieve excellent yields across a majority of soil types.  Favorable root, stalk and staygreen ratings carry this yield potential directly to a girthy ear of grain.  Excellent response to the extra inputs and top level management you give this hybrid including high plant populations.  Very good test weight.

113 Day Stealth-9615
Exceptionally high yield!  Excellent disease protection and staygreen make for an attractive hybrid on your farm.  Versatile for planting in many soil types.  It has a high ear flex capability on medium to long girthy ears.
