The Board of
Directors for the Independent
Professional Seedmen Association (IPSA) is pleased to
announce the hiring of Greg Ruehle as the Association’s new
Chief Executive Officer. Ruehle brings more than 15 years of
Association experience to IPSA, including the past decade as
Executive Vice President for the Nebraska Cattlemen, and 5 years
with the National Cattlemen in Washington, DC.
Members of the Association’s Board and Business
Development Committee conducted a strategic planning retreat
earlier this year, setting a number of new goals for IPSA. From
that session, a national search was initiated over the summer
and Ruehle was selected from a broad field of candidates. “Greg
Ruehle brings a level of experience and expertise to IPSA that
will move this Association forward in membership growth and
program offerings, helping to accomplish the Association’s new
strategic goals” said IPSA President Kevin Dahlman with Dahlco
Seeds in Cokato, MN.
Tom Burrus with Burrus Hybrids of Arenzville, IL
agreed: “IPSA is poised to climb the ladder of Association
growth and success, and Greg Ruehle brings tools to the table to
help us reach for that next rung.” Burrus currently serves as
IPSA’s Vice President and as a member of the Association’s Board
of Directors.
Jan Hartsock with Condor Consulting will be
leaving IPSA after 10 years of service to the Association. The
IPSA Board of Directors and membership thank her for her
commitment, dedication and assistance to furthering the goals of
independent seed producers across the country, and wish her well
in the future.
Association offices will also move to Lincoln,
Nebraska with the change in leadership. The new office contact
information is listed above.
As a reminder,
IPSA’s 17th Annual Conference is scheduled for
January 17-19, 2006 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in St. Louis,
