Stokes Seeds Ltd.
is pleased to announce that George Dobson (photo) has
joined the Stokes Sales Team as a sales representative calling
on customers in the state of New York.
George has been working with growers for the past
25 years, most recently working for UAP Northeast as a Crop
Specialist and Sales Representative, working directly with
growers helping manage their acreage. At Seneca Foods for 8
years, George managed the scheduling, planting and harvesting of
over 5,000 acres of sweet corn, peas and snap beans. Other
related employment includes sales at the Miller Chemical &
Fertilizer Company in PA as well as the Northern Fertilizer
Company in NY.
George resides in Williamson, NY where he is very
active in the community, holding leadership positions with many
organizations. He will be assuming the territory and duties from
Stokes Sales Representative Roger Rouse who is set to
retire on June 30, 06.
Further changes in the Stokes New York Sales team
include; Sales Representative Dale Young has moved to a
new position with Stokes as the Product Development Specialist
for Onions. He will be responsible for onion trials and will
assist in product selection of the Stokes Onion Team. Randy
DeMay, another NY Sales Representative will be assuming
additional responsibilities, calling on the onion growers in the
Oswego area.
Founded in
1881, Stokes Seeds is celebrating it’s 125th
anniversary this year. Stokes
is a principal seed supplier for over 40,000 greenhouse growers
and commercial truck farmers in Northeastern U.S.A. and Canada.
