Kentland, Indiana
December 12, 2006

Precipitous growth continues at the nation’s largest network of independent regional seed companies. AgVenture, Inc. of Kentland, Indiana has hired Chuck Schneider, formerly with Dow Agro Science, Indianapolis, as Regional Business Development Manager. Chuck will lead efforts to expand AgVenture’s reach into the eastern Corn Belt and the eastern shore of the United States.

Schneider served as National Channel Manager with Mycogen Seeds/Dow Agro Sciences managing national seed accounts, the farm management channel and dairy nutrition specialists across the country. In his new role, he’ll focus on directing and guiding AgVenture’s business development efforts across the eastern United States.

Schneider says, “This is truly an innovative company. I’m so impressed with their philosophy, their strategy and their business model. It enables great companies and sharp people. Through that model, these regional seed companies focus with key growers to deliver the best seed solutions to their farm.”

Jim Groepper, AVN Vice President sales and marketing said, “We’re pleased to have Chuck join our management team at AgVenture. It’s become evident that there is strong support in the field for seed companies that maintain autonomy in their ability to meet customer needs. With Chuck’s support, we hope to intensify our outreach to these independent seed companies and their customers in the eastern United States.

Significant management growth has occurred at AVI in the last six month with the addition of two national business development directors and a manager of national accounts in Indiana. Groepper said, “Our focus on strategic growth has helped us continue to expand our growing network of regional seed companies. Chuck and our other recent managers are poised to direct those sustained directives over time.”

A native Iowan, Schneider and his wife, Beth, reside in Westfield, Indiana with their two girls.
