Agdia announces commercialization of Bt-Cry34Ab1 ImmunoStrip for testing Herculex RW seed corn and leaves

.

Elkhart, Indiana
February 27, 2007

Agdia, Inc., a leading provider of easy-to-use test kits for agricultural diagnostics, announces the commercialization of a new lateral flow strip for testing Herculex® RW seed corn and leaves.

When testing Herculex® RW seed corn or leaves, this Bt-Cry34Ab1 ImmunoStrip® effectively detects the Bt-Cry34Ab1 protein from hybrid or inbred seed corn and leaves. Once sample is prepared, test completion times are usually between 3 to 5 minutes.

Agdia’s new Bt-Cry34Ab1 ImmunoStrip® was validated and shows no cross-reaction with proteins of commercially available events including: Bt-Cry1Ab, Bt-Cry1F, Bt-Cry3Bb1, Bt-Cry9C, EPSPS (Roundup Ready®), or PAT (Liberty Link®).

This new lateral flow test compliments Agdia’s line-up of validated, easy-to-use ImmunoStrips® for identifying transgenic traits.

Agdia celebrates 25 years of providing diagnostic solutions to agriculture. Agdia offers not only diagnostics test kits, but also a plant pathogen testing services program.
