Geographic growth in
AgVenture, Inc (AVI),
market territory has driven the company to a broad expansion of
their alfalfa product offerings. Through a new supplier
arrangement, the Kentland, Indiana based network of Regional
Seed Companies now has more than 50 percent greater selection of
top quality, top performing alfalfa hybrids and varieties
available to producers.
AVI Product Manager Jeff Shaner said, “A new relationship with
our suppliers allows us for the first time to supply adapted
alfalfa seed products over an extremely broad geography
effectively. With AgVenture’s recent expansions, we now provide
alfalfa to producers from Kansas to North Carolina, from
Mississipi to Minnesota. We needed this incredible access to a
range of alfalfa maturities to meet producers’ needs across the
country. We are now able to provide highly productive, leading
products across all major zones.”
In addition to the broader geography, Shaner points out specific
advantages in the new AgVenture alfalfa product line up. “Our
ability to offer AgVenture RoundUp Ready® alfalfa brings
significant value to beef and dairy producers. It means they can
harvest a higher quality product with less weed interference.
Additionally, the new AgVenture alfalfa portfolio includes a
solid line up overall yield potential, productivity, quality,
winter-hardiness, and disease and insect resistance.
