Great Lakes Hybrids promotes Doug Little to Brand Manager

Great Lakes Hybrids is pleased to announce the promotion of Doug Little to brand manager.

“Doug has done an excellent job as marketing manager for Great Lakes for the past three-and-a-half years and brings over 20 years of overall management experience to the position,” said Craig Newman, VP sales and marketing for AgReliant Genetics, LLC. Great Lakes Hybrids is a brand of AgReliant Genetics, LLC which is the fourth largest seed company in the U.S.

Little has played a key role in the success of Great Lakes Hybrids. “Doug will continue to work together with the Management Team of Great Lakes to achieve the overall goals of Great Lakes and AgReliant Genetics,” Newman said.

Before joining Great Lakes Hybrids in 2004, Little worked for Monsanto for 19 years in various sales management positions where he lead local sales teams plus managed distributor accounts in both seed and chemistry. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in science and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton.

Mike Stephenson, former brand manager, stated, “I am confident that Doug will do an excellent job as brand manager and will work hard with the Great Lakes team to continue the history of success spanning the past 86 years”.

Little currently resides in Okemos with his wife of 29 years and two daughters.

With the industry’s largest seed-only corn research program, Great Lakes Hybrids and AgReliant Genetics have been able to produce top-performing unique genetics for incorporation of new transgenic traits. Great Lakes Hybrids has also produced more winners per entry of any other seed company in the National Corn Grower’s annual Corn Yield Contest.
