.

Kentland, Indiana
May 29, 2008

A significant portion of western and central Illinois will now have access to AgVenture® brand corn, soybeans and alfalfa products as Monmouth, Illinois-based Quality Plus Seed Company has joined AgVenture, the nation’s largest network of independently owned and operated regional seed companies.

The Quality Plus sales staff, with territory stretching from Jacksonville to Carthage to Peoria, will synchronize sales efforts to seamlessly serve customers across Illinois. Quality Plus owner, Dave Linden stated, “AgVenture is a great fit for our customers and our company. Our sales professionals will be able to greatly extend AgVenture’s reach across Illinois while bringing more product choices to our growers.”

Fellow Illinois seedsman and General Manager of AgVenture PureLine Seed out of Princeton, Illinois Chris Kaufmann said, “Dave brings 37 years of perspective and experience to this new business relationship. He started Quality Plus Seed Company in 1992 and has run a very successful business.”

Kaufmann added, “They didn’t have to join AgVenture but they chose to! Quality Plus wanted their customers to have the access to AgVenture’s elite genetics and technologies and the advantages of the newer genetics coming forward. Also, joining AgVenture allows Quality Plus customers to continue their great relationships with people they know and trust while increasing their access to a whole new level of high-caliber seed service.”

“The bottom line,” said Linden, “is that this move greatly enhances our ability to serve growers with better access to a broader product portfolio. Along with that, we remain independent; working with our customers as they need it, expect it and deserve it. Our people and business relationships remain the same. It’s about sustaining relationships that work to support our customers’ profitability.”

AgVenture D&M owner Mike Davis serves growers in eastern and central Illinois. He stated, “Dave’s professionalism, knowledge and expertise are what AgVenture is all about. It will be great to work together to give more Illinois growers stronger seed choices.”

Linden concluded “AgVenture has access to all 4 major technology providers – Monsanto, Dow AgroSciences, Greenleaf Genetics and DuPont. Because we help growers select and produce locally adapted seed on a farm by farm and field by field basis, improved profitability is a reality. That makes a difference.” Linden encouraged area growers to contact him with any questions about the new business alliance.

AgVenture, Inc. based in Kentland, Indiana, provides a growing network of independently owned and managed regional seed companies with seed products meeting exacting standards for quality, together with leading-edge genetics and technology. Since 1983, this unique marketing approach has allowed each individual company to match the hybrids it sells to the specific needs of the geographical area it serves. Combined with professional seed representation at a local level, AgVenture strives to help every grower realize more profit from every field.
