Professional Seed Research Inc. (PSR) is now offering online
status reports of its trait conversion services. Customers can
view trait conversion updates for each generation and obtain
completion dates for their inbred lines.
“Online availability of conversion reports has become especially
helpful to our international clients. Now everyone can receive
updates during their work hours. We intend to build in this area
as we get specific feedback of our clients needs,” says Matt
Dodd, VP Marketing.
Backcrossing and seed testing services have provided PSR with an
understanding of the global market demands of transgenic traits.
“In both programs, we work closely with all the trait providers
to meet their industry requirements.” Says Robert Johnson, VP
Operations.
PSR’s trait conversion service is unique in that it saves
customers four generations in converting inbred lines with
regulated and non-regulated traits. PSR uses its proprietary
Phenotype Select™ system to quickly convert inbred lines to
include traits. This system is more efficient and less costly
than molecular markers. With approved USDA-APHIS greenhouses,
International companies find PSR’s program convenient while
waiting for their country’s trait approval.
Established in 1987, Professional Seed Research, Inc. (PSR)
provides Seed Testing, Corn Breeding and Pathology services to
nearly 300 companies internationally. PSR's revolutionary SMF™
Technology increases efficiency in seed testing and accelerates
maize breeding programs by more than four generations. |
