BioWorks announces OMRI listing for MilStop broad spectrum foliar fungicide

.

Victor, New York
October 15, 2003

BioWorks Inc. announced today that the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) has determined that the company's EPA registered fungicide based on potassium bicarbonate MilStop Broad Spectrum Foliar Fungicide is now ALLOWED for use in organic farming.

MilStop is a foliar-applied product that works well in an integrated program with BioWorks' biofungicides PlantShield® HC and RootShield® Granules, as well as all other commonly used fungicides. MilStop was recently granted a 1-hour REI (restricted entry interval) from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and is now available in 5 pound and 25 pound plastic buckets, providing greater convenience to growers. MilStop is a very cost-effective product to cure and prevent Powdery Mildew, as well as prevent many other foliar diseases. Unlike other potassium bicarbonate products that may be on the market, MilStop contains two proprietary wetting agents, so no additional surfactants are needed - simply mix MilStop and water, and spray!

BioWorks, Inc., a privately held company, provides environmentally responsible, safe and cost-effective solutions to the horticulture industry.
