Regina, Saskatchewan
December 17, 1998InVigor 2273, AgrEvos newest Liberty Link(R) canola hybrid, is
sold out just three months after hitting the market. The announcement was made
today by Stan Prokopchuk, AgrEvos director of sales for Canada.
"Our supply of InVigor 2273 is completely gone," says Prokopchuk.
"Were pleased but not
surprised."
"Generally, the better performing canola seed goes first. For many growers, that
means InVigor
hybrids, teamed with Liberty(R) herbicide. Because InVigor hybrids are Liberty Link,
farmers get the added benefit of in-crop weed control with Liberty."
Prokopchuk added that another top-performing Liberty Link hybrid InVigor 2153
is an
excellent choice for farmers who want both hybrids and a herbicide tolerant canola
package.
InVigor 2153 is still available, although the year-end run on seed supply has begun.
"We multiplied a significant quantity of InVigor 2153 seed, in anticipation of strong
farmer demand, but its moving quickly," he says. "Because InVigor 2153 was
widely grown last year, farmers know its consistently high-yielding across a range
of growing conditions. And of course, weed control with Liberty herbicide is a big
advantage."
InVigor 2153 seed is sold through Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Agricore, UFA, AgPro Grain,
Cargill, Pioneer, Co-op farm supply stores and through full-service independent dealers as
well as
selected seed dealers.
