March 12, 1999Golden Harvest has introduced
76 new products to its corn and soybean line-up for the 1999 sales season. This includes
39 conventional and technology trait corn hybrids and 37 conventional and technology trait
soybean varieties.

Of the 39 new corn hybrids available, 28 contain technology or value-added traits.
Included are 18 new Bt hybrids, one High Oil Corn hybrid and six IMI-CORN® hybrids. In
addition, Golden Harvest will market two Bt/IMI-CORN stacked hybrids and one Roundup
Ready® Corn hybrid.
Of the 37 new soybean varieties available, 29 contain technology traits. These include 25
Roundup Ready varieties and four STS® varieties. There are 12 varieties that are tolerant
to white mold and nine that are resistant to soybean cyst nematode.
The Golden Harvest brand of hybrid corn, soybeans, sorghum and alfalfa is produced and
marketed by five family-owned and managed seed companies serving farmers throughout the
U.S.
Corn Belt, Europe, South America and Canada. These five companies share research and
marketing resources nationally, while continuing to offer the nearby service that is the
heart of the
seed industry.
