Jacklin
Seed, a division of the J.R. Simplot Company’s Turf &
Horticulture group, has been named an Idaho Exporter of the
Year. Three companies were recognized this week for
contributions to the state and national economy through exports
of Idaho products and services.
Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne presented the 2001 Idaho
Exporter of the Year awards today during World Trade Day events
at the Doubletree Riverside Hotel in Boise. In addition to
Jacklin Seed, this year’s recipients included the Union
Warehouse Company of Genesee, Idaho, and Hamilton Manufacturing
of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Hiromi Yanagisawa, vice president and general manager of the
group’s newly created International division, was on hand to
accept the award on behalf of the group. "In addition to
being a great honor, the award underscores the importance of
International business. This recognition is a testament to our
group’s commitment to doing business overseas." he said.

overseas. Their product line encompasses over 200 different
products that are sold in over 60 countries worldwide. In
addition the Post Falls location, Jacklin maintains facilities
in China and Australia.
