Southeast states gain technical support
Memphis, Tennessee
October 23, 1998

Stoneville Pedigreed Seed Company has promoted Greg Baldwin to the position of Southeast Technical Services Agronomist to be based in Albany, Georgia. Baldwin has been with Stoneville since 1991, most recently serving as Herbicide Resistance Technical Manager.

In his new position Baldwin will be responsible for providing technical support to all of Stoneville's
stakeholders—growers, consultants, Extension personnel, farm supply dealers, etc—in the Southeastern cotton producing states. "Greg was actively involved in the development of Stoneville's transgenic varieties, BG 4740 and BXN 47," says Gary Starwalt, vice president of sales and marketing. "That background will serve him well in this new position, and we believe he will be a vital new resource to the cotton community in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia."

Baldwin holds a M.S. in crop science from North Carolina State and a B.S. in agriculture from Murray State University. He is active in a variety of agricultural professional societies, has co-authored several scholarly papers and is a regular presenter at industry meetings such as the Beltwide Cotton Conferences. Prior to joining Stoneville Baldwin was with Rhone-Poulenc Ag Company and North Carolina State University.
