At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. We are currently seeking a National Account Genetics Lead. As the National Account Genetics Lead, you will support the portfolio development of National Account house brands to enable their growth of volume while enabling the NK Brand growth. You will drive market share and volume growth of Syngenta genetics and the trait licensing business with National Retail Accounts that have their own house brand.

You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

  • Representing and positioning market elite corn genetics and technology traits of Syngenta, or their originators, directly with National Retail Account customers operating in North America
  • Providing supporting information on product performance and production characteristics for genetics and traits to help customers choose products that best fit their business plan, marketing strategy, and geographic sales area
  • Engaging product management teams of house brands to build collaboration and trust in the Syngenta portfolio and pipeline
  • Influencing multiple layers of National Accounts Agronomy and Product Management teams by becoming a trusted advisor
Accountabilities
  • Assist with Product Identification in the selection and advancement of elite genetics that meet or exceed performance criteria of new products
  • Emphasize the value of the Syngenta Testing Program with customers to ensure that valuable information is available
  • Make educated decisions around product advancement and product recommendations
  • Assist in the development of GreenLeaf Genetics product release presentations and NK hybrid information and support
  • Help to create Product Marketing Guides, annually, for distribution to retail customers
  • Train and help customers to identify potential products for their markets
  • Assist with total genetic penetration into Growmark, Winfield United and Nutrien 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Agricultural Science
  • Master’s degree preferred or plant breeding experience
  • 5+ years’ experience within the industry or related industry fields
  • Strong knowledge of elite industry germplasm, traits, agronomy, and new technologies
  • Willingness to travel extensively at certain periods of the year, and spend time in corn fields looking at products with customers
