Portfolio Manager

Location: Enkhuizen, The Netherlands

 

What are you going to do?

You are a real passionate when it comes to product management in the agricultural industry. You create partnership with the (global) cross functional teams and together you develop business plans and marketing initiatives. In doing so, you help accelerate our product marketing processes in the agri-business industry. This role requires a passion for data, product management, marketing, creativity and strategic thinking.

The main function of the Portfolio Manager is to manage the life cycle of different vegetable variety portfolios in positioning and pricing. As a Portfolio Manager you will have board market understanding, make data driven decisions, seed production and sales to optimise profits. You will analyse global and local market trends to ensure optimal product positioning and processes. After consideration of the various interests involved, you seek process-based improvements and develop, together with the Senior Portfolio Manager, a strategic global view. 
 
You will maintain in close contact with different departments and you will be part of international, multidisciplinary teams. You will support the sales team globally with the introduction strategy of varieties and you will visit international trial locations in order to support the decision-making progress and processes.

Your power

As Portfolio Manager your focus is to develop long-term business relationships, both within and outside our international organisation. You have a clear understanding of commercial matters and strong analytical skills. You have a critical view and wants to know how something added value.  You are able to adapt yourself to the situation, make well thought decisions and support your team. You are able to build a cross-functional team.
You have a strong customer-orientation and you are someone who thinks together with the customer. You ask questions to gain a full understanding of the problem or needs. You are willing to travel frequently.

In short you;

  • Have a bachelor degree, preferably in Agribusiness;
  • Have at least 5 years working experience as a Portfolio Manager in agribusiness;
  • Have strong data analysis and interpretation capacity;
  • Are a real leader, motivator and goal oriented person;
  • Are flexible and pragmatic, and able to portray and promote a positive image of the company’s vision, mission and values;
  • Have the ability to stay focused and execute in a fast paced environment with lots of changes.
  • Are proficient in the English language.
