Sakata Seed America, Inc. is looking for Warehouse Technicians for our Logistics Department

We have 1 position open in Morgan Hill, California and 4 positions open in Burlington, Washington.

It is expected of this position to efficiently operate equipment utilized by the Logistics Department.

Activities include (but are not limited to) any of the processes in operations related to preparing seed for delivery to the customer, which includes receiving, drying, cleaning, sizing, inventory (picking, cycle counts locating of seed), treating, packaging, and sampling activities. This position will be expected to keep the work area, warehouse and the facility clean. Participation in the maintenance of assigned equipment is expected.

• Must have excellent visual discrimination and manual dexterity.
• Must have good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• PC and word-processing experience.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
• Must have ability to safely operate, maintain and perform minor repairs on forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior forklift operation experience required.
• Minimum one year warehouse or related work experience preferred.
• Seed industry or agricultural background desirable.
• Must be able to work around chemicals and other irritating substances.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when required and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular/daily basis.
