Rijk Zwaan's Global Melon & Watermelon e-Vent 2021

The Netherlands
June 3, 2021

Rijk Zwaan celebrates a new edition of its most international melon and watermelon field days. This year we are once again adapting the format of the event so that the visitor can attend, both in person and virtually, to our Rijk Zwaan CED La Palma in Cartagena. From 28 June to 9 July 2021.

Inspiring consumers together

This is our motto in this edition, in which Rijk Zwaan, together with its chain partners, inspire the market with the most competitive and innovative proposals in the whole melon category – Yellow, Galia, Cantaloupe, Charentais, Ananas and Piel de Sapo – and the watermelon category – seedless, with seeds and micro seeds –.

Participants will discover, through our concepts Mellissimo, Sandissima, Ready to Eat, Caribbean and many other proposals, innovative solutions that respond to the new consumption trends in melon and watermelon. Rijk Zwaan will present novelties that collect the aspects more valued by the agri-food chain, such as flavor, firmness, shelf life, availability, convenience and sustainability (resistances, abiotic factors, etc.).

Webinars and digital meetings

During week 27, visitors will be able to enjoy a full program of digital activities. In them, the new market trends will be analyzed in more detail by crop type.

In person visits

Due to the health restrictions for covid-19, the week 26 will be celebrated under a strict security protocol according to the regional government legislation.
