Charleston, South Carolina, USA
June 10, 2021

From: USDA, ARS, U.S. Vegetable Laboratory

Dear Cucurbit Community Members.

First, we wish to congratulate the Cucurbitaceae 2020 team members for organizing a very successful conference with many interesting and informative presentations. We are looking forward to meeting you all in Cucurbitaceae 2022 in Naples, Florida.

Enclosed is the link for the Cucurbit Genetics Cooperative (CGC) report #43 (2020) https://cucurbit.info/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/CGC-43-complete.pdf . You may also visit the site by first opening the Cucurbits Coordinated Agricultural Project “CucCAP” link CucCAP – Harnessing genomic resources for disease resistance and management in cucurbit crops https://cuccap.org/ and scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Cucurbit Genetics Cooperative (CGC) website link. All papers in the CGC report #43 deal with disease resistance, grafting, or the domestication of melon. Hopefully, we will have reports for other cucurbit crops in the next CGC issue (#44).

Special thanks to Professor Linda Wessel Beaver for a great job in editing and formatting this and previous CGC issues. Also, special thanks to all contributors and editor of this issue.

Following the publication of CGC report #43 (2020), we are now accepting reports for CGC #44 (2021). We encourage you to continue to share your research and submit manuscripts or reports to CGC. We also encourage you to submit any interesting observations from your regions, descriptions of new techniques, new or novel germplasm, or any information that you think could be of use or interest to the cucurbit genetics and related research communities.   Please, check the author style instructions on the webpage https://cucurbit.info/ (instructions enclosed) or through the CucCAP website https://cuccap.org/. Please, email me (amnon.levi@usda.gov) your report or manuscript by December 1st. 2021.

Please, let me know in case any of you wishes to serve as an associate editor with CGC in coming years.
