United Kingdom - AHDB Recommended Lists for Cereals and Oilseeds booklet now available

United Kingdom
February 28, 2018

The print edition of the AHDB Recommended Lists for cereals and oilseeds (RL) is now available.

The release of the print edition follows last December’s launch of the summary tables online, and brings the latest variety performance data into its most recognisable format.

The full AHDB Recommended Lists booklet includes lists for winter wheat, spring wheat, winter barley, spring barley, winter oats, spring oats and winter oilseed rape.

The publication also contains Descriptive Lists for spring oilseed rape, spring linseed, winter triticale and winter rye.

Information on the performance of candidate varieties is also included in the booklet.

New to the RL

For the first time winter oilseed rape varieties have been presented on a single UK list.  Regional recommendations are maintained with varieties ordered according to the scope of recommendation.

Ramularia disease ratings for winter barley varieties are presented for the first time as part of the Recommended List.

RL at your fingertips
To obtain a printed copy of the RL, email comms@ahdb.org.uk or call 0845 245 0009. Electronic versions of the tables are still available at cereals.ahdb.org.uk/varieties.

Later this year, the 2018/19 variety data will be available in the AHDB Variety Selection tool, which allows growers to break down the variety data by local conditions to see how varieties perform in their specific situation. The RL will also be published in a useful pocketbook format ahead of the summer variety trials.
