As The Head of Finance for the North America Seeds Division, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end finance support to the North America Seeds business teams across Commercial, P&S and R&D.  You will lead a team of Finance Business Partners supporting the North America Seeds business ensuring end-to-end connectivity.  As a member of various multi functional leadership teams, you will lead the financial decision making process to maximize value creation by ensuring that all business and strategic decisions are supported by robust, timely financial analysis.  Through active participation in the development and implementation of the relevant business strategies, you will ensure clarity of the financial impact, including evaluation of new businesses and models.  Through an appropriate balance of short, medium and long term financial planning and monitoring, you will drive the effective and efficient delivery of business goals with sound financial analysis and advice.  You will provide business management with sound risk based analysis on potential impacts, implications and propose potential ways to improve risk management on key economic exposures.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full P&L accountability for North America Seeds and maintenance of relevant financials
• Ensure all business decisions are supported by robust, timely information and are taken with a full understanding of the financial impact, potential risks  and exposures
• Work cross-functionally to drive business performance and new business models
• Through assessment of relevant indicators, provide insight and recommend potential mitigation options to potential risks / exposures
• Support 5 year plans and budgets. Ensure effective resource prioritization based on sound risk based cost and benefit analysis including overall management of capital budget
• Through effective business partnership demonstrate how finance can add value to the business to maximize bottom line growth
• Provide functional expertise in key strategic projects such as M&A and collaborations, including obtaining appropriate internal approvals
• Support the implementation of a broad change agenda together with the respective leadership teams
• Direct and indirect responsibility for 20+ employees

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field is required
• Master’s Degree is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Controlling
• Experience in managing and developing teams

Additional Knowledge, Skills, Traits & Abilities:

• Sound knowledge of business and industry drivers and business issues
• Ability to understand, communicate and manage complex cross-functional issues
