The vacancy for a Product Development Specialist at Rijk Zwaan USA

The Product Development Specialist is responsible for developing Rijk Zwaan seed business in the North Eastern  Region.  Within this role, you are responsible for organizing and following variety trials in consultation with Rijk Zwaan staff, distributors, growers and cooperating companies with a focus on vegetables.  In addition, you are also responsible for the introduction and sales of the total Rijk Zwaan open field product development activities for all outdoor varieties in the North Eastern USA. For this position, 20 to 25 percent seasonal travel is required.

We are seeking a Product Development Specialist with the following criteria:

  • BS, or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
  • Experience in agriculture, seed business or production is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in produce industry
  • Ability to develop good long term industry relationships
  • Team oriented
