ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting the Hybrid Research team in the growing and management of experimental rice.

• Assists all aspects of Hybrid Research Breeding activities, indoor and outdoor, including: hand crossing, tissue collection, planting experimental rice plots, seed preparation, planting, data recording, field management, harvesting, threshing and cleaning samples
• Applicant will be required to have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to RiceTec, Inc. operations within, but not limited to California and Puerto Rico on short notice. Travel required. louis vuitton outlet louis vuitton handbags sale
• Assist with Greenhouse operations including filling nursery pots, assisting with pest and weed control, forklift operation, and housekeeping

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A requirement of the Hybrid Research Technician is to have 2+ years of equivalent experience in farm operations or field research.
• Operation of a tractor is a must.
• Computer skills, mechanical skills, welding, and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
• This individual will frequently lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
