Production Manager
Location: Hobart, Oklahoma, USA Provide agronomic service and support to sesame growers and service providers. This role will be critical to assist in the development and expansion plans of sesame in the United States.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Effectively communicate technical fit and benefits of sesame to specific production practices.
- Forecast preseason opportunities with crop economic comparisons and realistic performance.
- Implement campaigns to secure leads, complete opportunities, and evaluate grower performances.
- Maintain production estimates to increase logistic efficiency towards commercial sales to secure profit.
- Train and communicate with service providers to maintain a reputation for Sesaco service.
- Service growers with timely responses, meetings, and field demonstrations.
- Facilitate and develop educational and promotional items in hard materials or electronic media.
- Identify key flag-bearers and elevate benchmark performance such as yield, total production, and quality grades.
- Resolve challenges with the Research Division for the growers and Operations Division for the Commercial Sales Division.
- Be the voice of the grower to the industry to increase stability and food safety in the supply of sesame to.
- Initiate purchase orders, generate expense report, and work within budgets set by the Director of Production.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in an Ag/Life Science related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of work experience in an agronomic related field.
- Previous sales/service experience and knowledge of agricultural input or commodity marketing desirable.
- Skilled at negotiating win-win strategies, conflict resolution and handling objections by taking initiative and finding creative solutions.
