Lukas Meyer: the new Business Manager of Pannar Seed

South Africa
February 18, 2026

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Lukas Meyer as the new Business Manager of Pannar Seed. Lukas will take over from John Odendaal upon his retirement at the end of April. In the interim, Lukas and John will work closely together to ensure a smooth handover and continuity as Pannar builds on a strong legacy and prepares for the next phase of growth.

With more than 20 years’ experience across the seed and crop protection industries, Lukas brings a powerful combination of scientific thinking, commercial leadership and a deep understanding of what matters most to farmers. His career spans research, strategy and leadership roles, and he returns to the seed sector with a strong belief in data‑driven decision‑making and customer‑focused growth.

John Odendaal has led Pannar through a period of significant growth and transformation, laying a solid foundation for the future. Building on this legacy, Lukas will focus on accelerating innovation, strengthening agronomic support and continuing to unlock genetic potential to drive yield and profitability for farmers.

We look forward to the journey ahead as Pannar Seed continues to grow as a uniquely local brand with global capability, delivering trusted solutions, strong partnerships and long‑term value to South African agriculture.
