Our future in Africa: Tanzania – open field days with Hazera varieties: Shanty tomatoes, Neptune onions and more

August 11, 2016

Hazera sees Africa as a growth market with great potential. This understanding led to an important visit to Tanzania, with the goal of learning and acquiring a better grasp of the needs of the local market, its development, and Hazera’s collaboration with its local distributor – Balton Tanzania.

During the visit, we participated in 3 open field days for Hazera varieties: Shanty tomatoes, Neptune onions, and other crops including Landini cabbages, Blocky peppers, etc.

The visit was an opportunity to see firsthand and up close the excellent fit of our genetics to Tanzania, and comprehend the need for professional support for the local teams of the distributor and the growers.

We believe that both these factors will lead us to success in the markets of Africa.
