Ahead of an important EU Parliament plenary vote taking place on 11 December, EuropaBio emphasises its support of transparency, but warns of provisions that could have a significant negative impact on the future of food-related innovation in the EU. The EU’s system is robust, but improvements to rules of procedure as well as risk communications would improve consumer confidence, efficiency and the system’s viability in the long term.
