Upon the conclusion of today’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting 2024, Dr. Markus Kamieth becomes the new Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE.
At the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting at the Rosengarten Congress Center in Mannheim, Germany, outgoing Chairman Dr. Martin Brudermüller presented his successor with a cycling jersey printed with the BASF logo.
Kamieth obtained his doctorate in organic chemistry at the University of Essen in 1998 and started his career at the company one year later.
He has been a member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE since 2017. Brudermüller worked at BASF for 36 years.
He was appointed to the Board of Executive Directors in 2006 and became Chairman in 2018.

Mit Ablauf der heutigen Hauptversammlung 2024 wird Dr. Markus Kamieth neuer Vorstandsvorsitzender der BASF SE.
Auf der Hauptversammlung im Mannheimer Congress Center Rosengarten übergab der bisherige Vorstandsvorsitzende
Dr. Martin Brudermüller seinem Nachfolger ein mit BASF-Logo bedrucktes Rad-Trikot.
Kamieth promovierte 1998 an der Universität Essen in Organischer Chemie, begann ein Jahr später seine Karriere im Unternehmen und ist seit 2017 Mitglied des Vorstands der BASF SE.
Brudermüller arbeitete 36 Jahre für das Unternehmen.
2006 wurde er in den Vorstand berufen, 2018 wurde er Vorstandsvorsitzender.
