Interview with Manny Shemin

How receptive has your target clientele been to your sales pitch so far?

Of all the customers categories I just mentioned, the mass market stores are playing a leadership roll.

For example The Home Depot has on its staff a Global Environmental Product Manager. It is his job to insure that The Home Depot does not purchase products that are harming or depleting natural resources such as lumber affecting the rain forests of Brazil etc. Selling certified organic seed is another example of their concern for protecting the environment and being environmentally sensitive.

At the present time they are selling organic seed grown by Genesis Seeds in some 500 of their stores nationwide. As of this writing, after just a few weeks of selling, they seem to be very pleased with the results.

Many of the customers in the other categories are just beginning to realize that the law will become effective in the US in October, 2002 and that they must now do something about it..
