ProGro Bio announces 2024 in-field Rhizol trial results

Atlanta, Georgia, USA
February 19, 2025

Rhizol Microbial Soil Inoculant Performs Exceptionally Well Across Large National In-Field Trials

ProGro BIO announced today that for the second year in a row, the company has completed an expansive national trial of its microbial soil inoculant, Rhizol, with highly successful outcomes. The 2024 program is the second large-scale product program sponsored by ProGro after a highly successful 2023 program. Similar in scale to the 2023 program, the 2024 program was one of the largest independently sponsored and third-party monitored in-field agricultural product programs in recent agricultural history. Encompassing 26 states and over 370 independent test plots, Rhizol microbial soil inoculant was applied on thousands of acres of crops. The program included use of the established line of Rhizol soil inoculants and the Rhizol microbially infused planter talc line.

Rhizol Delivers Outstanding Results In 2024 Field Trials

"The 2024 Rhizol In-Field Trial Program was a resounding success in all aspects," commented Zach Lancaster ProGro Bio's Director of Field Research. "Our Rhizol soil inoculant line demonstrated superior performance again this year across a myriad of crop targets. The results reported by third party consultants included impressive yield increases, quality increases, increased ability of soils to naturally fight pathogens, and overall restoration of soil health. As was the case last year, the 2024 trial program showcased just how effectively and consistently ProGro Bio's 100% all-natural microbial product line can improve crop yields and quality, put money back in growers pockets all the while improving soil biomes with a 100% organic and OMRI-certified microbial."

ProGro BIO is an AgTech microbial sciences company that produces an all-natural suite of microbial soil inoculants containing formulations that are the most advanced and powerful beneficial bacterial and fungal strains for improving soil health on the market today. Rhizol is the result of three decades of research, development, and testing and, when properly applied, can increase crop yields, improve overall plant health and strengthen soil's natural abilities to defend against soil-borne pathogens and destructive parasitic nematodes. Rhizol is delivered in a ground-breaking dry dissolvable form, as a seed treatment, and as a microbially-infused agricultural planter talc with numerous modes of application possible by the grower.

Barry Roberts, ProGro BIO Chief Operating Officer, commented "These large-scale in-field efforts continue to provide ProGro Bio's team with a deeper understanding of how our products behave in various environments. This very large program in 2024 provided further opportunity for Rhizol to be tested against a wide diversity of growing conditions, soil types, grower practices, irrigation techniques, crop types, crop varieties, fertilization regimens, topographies, geographies, and weather conditions. These 2024 results on a large scale demonstrate the strong efficacy of this exciting product suite."

Rhizol is available through local agricultural retailers. For more information visit www.progrobio.com
