“This event offers a firsthand look at our high-tech glasshouse facility and allows visitors to experience cutting-edge seed technology and the latest advancements in the De Ruiter tomato portfolio," said Stephanie Poletti, Marketing Manager, for Vegetables by Bayer. “This is a great opportunity to hear directly from our local teams about our new tomato technology in our pipeline and varieties we anticipate launching this year. Our R&D teams have been working tirelessly to bring high-quality varieties that customers have known to trust from De Ruiter genetics with the added ToBRFV protection to help keep their crop healthy all season.”

Along with touring the Demo House, attendees had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the latest advancements in tomato varieties, visit our marketplace to cut, taste and test for themselves our new products with a personal sensory experience, and explore innovations in sustainable glasshouse production. Experts from De Ruiter were on hand to share insights into current trials, the next generation of tomatoes and the future of tomato breeding. De Ruiter’s pre-commercial pipeline was focused on disease resistance packages to help growers’ needs, plus reliable agronomics, yields and desirable fruit quality. Bayer’s industry-leading R&D team was working hard to provide lasting, science-based ToBRFV solutions through disease resistance, management practices and vigorous seed testing.

“Vegetables by Bayer is committed to producing seeds that offer an outstanding taste, appearance, shelf-life, productivity and quality for our customers,” said Poletti. “Our rigorous testing and trialing helps to deliver high-quality seeds with great resistance that growers can trust.
