Tozer signs exclusive distribution deal with OBS (Organisation Bretonne de Sélection) for the United Kingdom and Ireland

The new agreement strengthens Tozer’s brassica portfolio with top-performing winter cauliflower genetics from French breeder OBS.

Leading independent vegetable seed company Tozer, has announced a new strategic partnership with French breeder OBS (Organisation Bretonne de Sélection), granting exclusive rights to market OBS cauliflower varieties in the UK and Ireland.

This agreement marks a significant milestone for both companies. OBS, based in Plougoulm in Brittany, specialises in breeding elite winter cauliflower varieties. Their genetics are tailored to Atlantic climates and professional grower needs, with four OBS varieties recently ranked among the top 10 performers out of 73 entries in the Dutchy 2025 trials.

“We have long admired the exceptional varieties produced by OBS, and we are very pleased to now be able to offer these to UK and Irish growers,” said David Rogers, Commercial Director at Tozer. “OBS shares our independent spirit and focus on innovation, and this agreement reinforces our commitment to bringing top-performing genetics to our customers.”

Shared values and future collaboration

Both OBS and Tozer are independent, breeder-led seed companies with a focus on research and innovation. In addition to sales and distribution, the new partnership opens the door to future collaboration in seed production, trialling and technical exchange.

“At OBS, we focus our breeding on the needs of professional growers,” said David Esnault, Sales Development Manager of OBS. “Tozer has deep experience and understanding of the UK and Irish markets, and we are confident that their team will support our varieties with the same dedication to grower success that we value in our work.”

A stronger offer for UK and Irish growers

The new partnership expands Tozer’s brassica portfolio and enhances its ability to serve growers with a broader selection of high-performance, winter-adapted cauliflower genetics. The agreement comes at a time of growing demand for resilient and reliable cauliflower varieties, as growers face climate-related challenges and changing market requirements.
