Corinne Jud Khan is the new head of Agroscope, the federal research institute for the agriculture and food sector. The Federal Council was informed of the appointment at its meeting on 27 August. Corinne Jud Khan will take up her post on 1 March 2026, succeeding Eva Reinhard, who will retire at the end of February.

Corinne Jud Khan (1979 from eastern Switzerland) has been a member of Agroscope's Executive Board since 2017 and heads the Methods Development and Analytics Competence Division. She previously headed the Feed Analysis Division at Agroscope's predecessor institutions. She was also a member of the respective institute's management team.
Outstanding and well-connected scientist
Corinne Jud Khan received her doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Fribourg in 2009. This was followed by post-doc and senior assistant positions at the Adolphe Merkle Institute in Fribourg in the field of nanotechnology. In 2018, she completed an Executive MBA in Management & Corporate Finance at the University of Lausanne. Ms Jud Khan is very well connected in the national and international scientific community. Among other things, she is a member of the Institute Council of the Federal Institute of Metrology METAS and is on the Board of Directors of the Swiss Chemical Society.
Continuity in the management of Agroscope
A selection committee was set up to identify candidates to be the new head of Agroscope (see box). At the request of the selection committee and after consultation with Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Christian Hofer, Director of the Federal Office for Agriculture FOAG, has appointed Corinne Jud Khan as the new head of the Agroscope research institute. The appointment is a sign of Agroscope's continuous development. The focus will be on research into the agriculture and food sector as a whole, with a view to improving agricultural practices.
Corinne Jud Khan succeeds Eva Reinhard, who is retiring after many years in the Federal Administration and around eight years as head of Agroscope. The EAER would like to thank Eva Reinhard for her dedication. Together with the Executive Board, she has played a key role in shaping Agroscope's development into a dynamic research institute with close ties to the practical aspects of agriculture.
Federal centre of excellence
Agroscope employs around 1,100 people and conducts research along the entire value chain of the agriculture and food sector. The federal centre of excellence makes a significant contribution to sustainable agriculture and food production and to an intact environment. Agroscope is noted for its combination of research, policy advice, enforcement, knowledge exchange and technology transfer, as well as for linking research and practice.

Corinne Jud Khan wird neue Leiterin von Agroscope
Corinne Jud Khan wird die neue Leiterin Agroscope, dem Forschungsinstitut des Bundes für die Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft. Der Bundesrat ist an seiner Sitzung vom 27. August 2025 über diese Ernennung informiert worden. Corinne Jud Khan tritt ihre Stelle am 1. März 2026 an. Sie folgt auf Eva Reinhard, die Ende Februar 2026 in Pension geht.
Corinne Jud Khan (1979) ist seit 2017 Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung von Agroscope und leitet dort den Bereich Methodenentwicklung und Analytik. Zuvor leitete die gebürtige Ostschweizerin in Vorgängerinstitutionen von Agroscope den Bereich Futtermittelanalytik. Sie war jeweils auch Mitglied der Institutsleitungen.
Ausgezeichnete und bestens vernetzte Wissenschaftlerin
Corinne Jud Khan promovierte 2009 an der Universität Fribourg in Biochemie. Es folgten Post-Docs und eine Oberassistenz am Adolphe Merkle-Institut in Fribourg im Bereich der Nanotechnologie. 2018 schloss sie das Executive MBA Management & Corporate Finance der Universität Lausanne ab. Jud Khan ist in der nationalen und internationalen Wissenschaft bestens vernetzt. Sie ist unter anderem Mitglied des Institutsrats des Eidgenössischen Instituts für Metrologie METAS und des Vorstands der Swiss Chemical Society.
Kontinuität in der Leitung von Agroscope
Zur Neubesetzung der Leitung von Agroscope wurde eine Findungskommission eingesetzt (siehe Kasten). Auf Antrag der Findungskommission und nach Absprache mit Bundesrat Guy Parmelin hat Christian Hofer, Direktor des Bundesamtes für Landwirtschaft BLW, Corinne Jud Khan zur neuen Leiterin des Forschungsinstituts Agroscope ernannt. Die Neubesetzung steht im Zeichen einer kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung von Agroscope. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf Forschung im Gesamtsystem der Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft mit Wirkung für die landwirtschaftliche Praxis.
Corinne Jud Khan folgt auf Eva Reinhard, die nach vielen Jahren in der Bundesverwaltung und rund acht Jahren als Leiterin von Agroscope in Pension geht. Das WBF dankt Eva Reinhard für ihr grosses Engagement. Sie hat gemeinsam mit der Geschäftsleitung die Entwicklung von Agroscope hin zu einem dynamischen Forschungsinstitut nahe an der landwirtschaftlichen Praxis massgeblich geprägt.
Kompetenzzentrum des Bundes
Agroscope forscht mit rund 1100 Mitarbeitenden entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette der Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft. Das Kompetenzzentrum des Bundes leistet einen bedeutenden Beitrag für eine nachhaltige Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft sowie eine intakte Umwelt. Agroscope zeichnet sich durch die Kombination von Forschung, Politikberatung, Vollzug, Wissensaustausch und Technologietransfer sowie durch die Verbindung von Forschung und Praxis aus.

Corinne Jud Khan nommée à la tête d’Agroscope
Corinne Jud Khan sera la nouvelle responsable d’Agroscope, l’institut de recherche de la Confédération dans les domaines de l’agriculture et de l’agroalimentaire. Le Conseil fédéral a pris connaissance de cette nomination lors de sa séance du 27 août 2025. Corinne Jud Khan occupera ses nouvelles fonctions le 1er mars 2026. Elle prendra la succession d’Eva Reinhard, qui partira à la retraite fin février 2026.
Née en 1979 en Suisse orientale, Corinne Jud Khan est depuis 2017 membre du comité de direction d’Agroscope, dont elle dirige le domaine Développement de méthodes et analytique. Elle a été auparavant responsable du domaine Analytique des aliments pour animaux au sein des institutions qui ont précédé Agroscope et a également siégé à la direction de ces établissements.
Une excellente scientifique au bénéfice d’un vaste réseau
Après des études de biochimie achevées à l’Université de Fribourg en 2009, Corinne Jud Khan a occupé plusieurs postes de post-doctorant, puis de maître assistant en nanotechnologies à l’Institut Adolphe Merkle, à Fribourg. En 2018, elle a obtenu un Executive MBA en management et finances d’entreprise à l’Université de Lausanne. Madame Jud Khan dispose d’un vaste réseau dans le milieu scientifique en Suisse comme à l’étranger. Elle est entre autres membre du Conseil de l’Institut fédéral de métrologie METAS ainsi que du comité directeur de la Swiss Chemical Society.
Continuité à la tête d’Agroscope
Une commission de sélection a été mis en place pour repourvoir le poste de responsable d’Agroscope (voir encadré). Sur proposition de la commission et après consultation du conseiller fédéral Guy Parmelin, Christian Hofer, directeur de l’Office fédéral de l’agriculture (OFAG), a nommé Corinne Jud Khan nouvelle responsable de l’institut de recherche Agroscope. Cette nomination s’inscrit dans une volonté de développer en permanence l’institution, qui place un accent particulier sur la recherche dans le système agricole et agroalimentaire global et son impact pour la pratique agricole.
Corinne Jud Khan succède à Eva Reinhard, qui partira à la retraite après de nombreuses années au service de l’administration fédérale, dont près de huit à la tête d’Agroscope. Le Département fédéral de l’économie, de la formation et de la recherche (DEFR) remercie Eva Reinhard pour son grand engagement. Avec l’ensemble du comité de direction, elle a contribué au développement d’Agroscope et en a fait un institut de recherche dynamique et proche de la pratique agricole.
Centre de compétences de la Confédération
Agroscope, qui compte quelque 1100 collaborateurs, œuvre en matière de recherche tout au long de l’ensemble de la chaîne de valeur des secteurs agricole et agroalimentaire. Ce centre de compétences de la Confédération apporte une contribution importante à une économie agricole et agroalimentaire durable et à un environnement intact. Agroscope se distingue par son approche qui conjugue la recherche, le conseil politique, l’exécution, l’échange de savoir et le transfert de technologie en combinant recherche et pratique.

Corinne Jud Khan è la nuova responsabile di Agroscope
Corinne Jud Khan dirigerà Agroscope, l’istituto di ricerca della Confederazione che si dedica all’agroalimentare. Il Consiglio federale ne è stato informato nella riunione del 27 agosto 2025. Corinne Jud Khan entrerà in carica il 1° marzo 2026, subentrando a Eva Reinhard che andrà in pensione a fine febbraio 2026.
Corinne Jud Khan (1979) è membro del consiglio di direzione di Agroscope dal 2017 e dirige il settore Sviluppo di metodi e analisi. Nata nella Svizzera orientale, in precedenza ha guidato il reparto Analisi dei mangimi, negli enti anteriori ad Agroscope. È stata anche membro della direzione presso vari istituti.
Una scienziata eccellente, con un’ottima rete di contatti
Corinne Jud Khan ha conseguito nel 2009 un dottorato in biochimica all’Università di Friburgo. In seguito ha conseguito un post-dottorato nel campo delle nanotecnologie all’Adolphe Merkle Institute di Friburgo, dove ha lavorato come prima assistente. Nel 2018 ha ottenuto l’Executive MBA in Management & Corporate Finance all’Università di Losanna. Jud Khan vanta una vasta rete di contatti con il mondo scientifico in Svizzera e all’estero. È inoltre membro dell’Istituto federale di metrologia (METAS) e del comitato direttivo della Swiss Chemical Society (SCS).
Continuità ai vertici di Agroscope
Su proposta della commissione di nomina appositamente costituita (v. riquadro) e con il benestare del consigliere federale Guy Parmelin, Christian Hofer, direttore dell’Ufficio federale dell’agricoltura (UFAG), ha nominato Corinne Jud Khan nuova responsabile dell’istituto di ricerca Agroscope. La nomina si inserisce nell’ottica di uno sviluppo costante di Agroscope, con particolare attenzione alle attività di ricerca riferite a tutto il sistema economico agroalimentare e al loro impatto sulle buone pratiche agricole.
Corinne Jud Khan subentra a Eva Reinhard che andrà in pensione dopo molti anni al servizio dell’Amministrazione federale e circa otto anni alla guida di Agroscope. Il Dipartimento federale dell’economia, della formazione e della ricerca (DEFR) esprime profonda gratitudine a Eva Reinhard per il grande impegno profuso. Insieme al consiglio di direzione di Agroscope ha contribuito in modo decisivo allo sviluppo dell’ente, trasformandolo in un istituto di ricerca dinamico e attento alle buone pratiche agricole.
Centro di competenza della Confederazione
Agroscope e i suoi 1100 collaboratori svolgono ricerche che contemplano l’intera catena del valore della filiera agroalimentare. In quanto centro di competenza della Confederazione fornisce un contributo significativo per una filiera agroalimentare sostenibile e un ambiente incontaminato. Agroscope si contraddistingue per la combinazione di ricerca, consulenza politica, esecuzione nonché scambio di conoscenze e trasferimento di tecnologie, come anche per la combinazione di ricerca e buone pratiche.
