Rob-See-Co, a leading independent seed company dedicated to providing trusted seed solutions and strong local relationships, today announced key leadership changes that will take effect January 1, 2026. Jim Robinson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, succeeding company founder Rob Robinson, who will transition to the Rob-See-Co Board of Directors. In addition, General Manager Dr. Calvin Treat will retire at the end of 2025, concluding a distinguished career in the seed and trait industry.
 
Jim Robinson, who has served as Chief Technology Officer and held multiple strategic leadership roles within Rob-See-Co since the company launched in 2013, will bring a strong operational and customer-focused perspective to his new position.  Robinson holds a degree in Genetics from Iowa State University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of California, San Diego.
“Jim’s deep understanding of our business, his commitment to innovation, and his passion for serving growers make him the right leader for this next chapter,” said Rob Robinson. “His leadership will ensure that Rob-See-Co continues to grow while remaining true to the values that have guided us since day one.”
 
Rob Robinson will remain closely engaged with the company he founded, supporting business growth, partnerships, and long-term strategy.
 
The company also celebrates the remarkable career of Dr. Calvin Treat, who will retire after 35 years in the seed industry. Dr. Treat has served as General Manager at Rob-See-Co, strengthening product performance, research initiatives, and field-level support for dealers and growers nationwide.
