Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced Don Dirksen has been hired as national accounts manager for the company.
Dirksen brings to Valent more than 15 years of sales and sales management experience in various roles at Bayer Crop Science and its legacy companies, including Rhône-Poulenc and Aventis CropScience. During that time, Dirksen oversaw multiple sales teams and segments of business, with significant focus on managing relationships with major distributors within the crop protection and animal health industries.
In his new role with Valent, Dirksen will manage relationships with national distributor clients. Rick Kraus, national accounts manager, said Dirksen’s deep history in a variety of sales management roles—most recently as regional sales manager with Bayer Animal Health—will bring the major accounts team a seasoned and unique viewpoint.
“Don has a proven track record in field sales, people management and account management in both the professional and agricultural markets,” Kraus said. “As our company continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, Don will be an important part of listening to, responding to and anticipating our major customers’ needs. We’re very excited to have his exceptional talent and award-winning experience on board.”
Dirksen holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from Northwest Missouri State University. He will be based in the Kansas City area.
